Environmental & Waste Sector: Elemental Analysis of Unknown Liquid Samples Using ED-XRF and TurboQuant
Join us for an insightful webinar on the analysis of unknown materials such as waste, soils, liquids, and sludges in the recycling sector. Understanding the composition of these materials is crucial for further processing and ensuring compliance with hazardous substance limits.
What you'll learn:
- Sample Preparation: Practical tips for preparing unknown liquid and multiphase samples.
- Measurement Process: A brief overview of the measurement process and software.
- TurboQuant Algorithm: Discover how TurboQuant enables flexible and accurate analysis of varying matrices with a single calibration.
- Fluorine Content Analysis: Special focus on the challenging application of analyzing fluorine content in solvents using XRF.
Why attend? Gain practical insights into using energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (ED-XRF) for comprehensive sample analysis. Learn how to leverage TurboQuant for efficient and accurate results.
The webinar will take place on Thursday, June 12, and will take around 30 minutes, after which we'll answer your questions live.

The Presenters
Volker Hückelkamp is XRF Application Scientist in the Product Support XRF Group and responsible for application development, training, and demonstration of the entire XRF portfolio. Volker’s experience in spectroscopy began with his graduate work in physics at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, Germany, in the department of applied physics researching thin layer crystal growth with various spectroscopic tools like Low-energy electron diffraction (LEED) or scanning tunneling microscope (STM). Volker joined SPECTRO Analytical instruments GmbH in 2010.
Thierry Théato studied chemical engineering at the Europa Fachhochschule Fresenius. After graduating in analytical chemistry with a specialization in product development and product quality, he began his professional career in 2002 in the analytical laboratory of SPECTRO Analytical Instruments. In his function as Product Support Leader, he today supports ED-XRF customers worldwide.
